We all know that getting braces is one of the scariest dream when your a teen. But braces has became a fashion symbol in Southeast Asian countries like Thailand, Indonesia, and Malaysia. And the teens are actually showing their fake braces off. They come in variety of colors and themes like Mickey Mouse and Hello kitty. The beauty salons there sell them for $100 while comparing they cost about $1200 in Asia. This makes braces a luxury item for only the rich. Though face braces may contain lead and it can be swallowed. When i read this article, I thought the world was upisde down. I know people get very excited when they get their braces off, but people in asia enjoying metal in their mouth. Even if fake braces became a trend here in America, I dont ever think I would be sporting some Hello Kitty pink braces. Next thing you'll know having now eyebrows will be a trend. Braces will forever and always will never be a fashion statement.
